My Very LAST sale on Fucking Ebay.

The last time I sold on eBay was about 2 years ago. I had a bunch of stuff listed. Don't really remember what was listed, now. I had listed an old Samsung phone as a "Buy it Now" sales. Someone from the UK bought the old phone and I shipped it to them, reluctantly, because I had to do all that Customs paperwork at the post office to ship International. About a week later I get a notice from eBay that there is a dispute about the phone. The buyer claimed that there were burnt marks on the screen.

A burnt marks would be like old computer screens that had the same image on the screen for a very long time, ?that was before screensavers came out? and that image would burn onto the surface of the screen and would be visible when you turned the monitor off. But that was a bunch of shit. I realized that this was just some sleaze bag out for a free lunch. I had the phone for 3 - 4 years, and I had just upgraded to the Samsung 9+. There was nothing wrong with the old phone. Phones don't stay on long enough to burn into the screen.

So, at the end of the day, Ebay who makes their own decisions as it relates to disputes, without any proof other than the buyer said so, refunded them the whole amount + shipping costs. It would have cost me $35.00 for shipping to get the phone back from the UK. I decided "Fuck It" I took everything off that shit site and swore to never sell on that site again. Ebay which charges around 12% for "buy it now" sales and then holds your money for 21 days after the sale, is really not worth the trouble to list, or the risk that some douche bag buyer will try to pull a fast one on you like this one did. Buyers can come up with any frivolous claims and the idiots at Ebay buy into it. Mainly to make buyers feel safe ?even if they are dead wrong? because without buyers, Ebay would have no sellers paying their exorbitant fees.

Recently however, someone bought an electrical breaker that I must have missed when I pulled everything off the site. Actually, he made an offer. I had it up for $50. It sells for over $80 at Home Depot. He had offered $35 for it. So, on the one hand, I really didn't want to sell it on ebay, specially so cheap, but on the other hand, it had been listed on Craigslist ?where all the scammers & weirdos shop, for so long, that I thought that a quick cash sale would serve me better. So, I accepted his offer.

Then, I took a look at my listing and noticed that it showed free shipping. I thought, shit! I did not list it with free shipping. I left the shipping blank so that I could estimate the shipping charges based on the destination of the buyer. Right away, I contacted the buyer and told him that I was not selling the item that cheap, with free shipping. I offered to give him his money back. But he wanted the item ?Yeah, it was cheap enough? and told me to ship it on his UPS account. I was OK with that.

Now, to just drop this thing off at the UPS store & be done with this. Well, that was much easier said than done. I went to the UPS that I usually go to when returning Amazon stuff. But the lady there told me that they don't ship, using the recipient's account. That I would have to go to the main UPS location. She gave me directions that were wrong; there was no UPS store where she sent me. So, I Googled UPS stores in that area. Well, I can tell you for a fact that Google DOESN'T know everything. I was driving all over the place and ended up at a UPS store that had moved. A neighbor sent me to the new UPS store location, but still, it was not the right one. However, that store send me to the right place, finally! I must have wasted $10.00 worth of gas running around to drop that stupid thing off, that was not even worth my time to ship for $35, but I did. The next day, I received a notice from ShitBay that my payment would be held for 21 days. FUCK! I was so annoyed with them. All that hassle and I can't even get paid!!!

Now, here comes the real bummer! About a week later I get another notice, again from ShitBay, that the buyer has not received the breaker and wants his money back. Are you kidding me? I shipped it to his Paypal registered address and used his UPS account number to ship it. How could he not get it? After tracking the package, it turns out that it was in fact delivered and left with someone at that location. Yet, that PIECE OF SHIT buyer still argued, citing that there is no one by that name at his place. By now, I'm suspecting that he's just another Ebay Low Life, freak, trying to get a free lunch. So, I told him to file a claim with UPS. BTW his name is Larry Benavidez ebay name(spacecity_breaker)

I then contacted ebay, which is a fucking nightmare in and of itself. Every contact link sends you to the abyss; to another page with a multitude of choices for self-help in resolving your issue on your own. WHAT A PIECE OF SHIT SITE. They want your money, but when you need assistance, they are nowhere to be found. Finally, after some time, I found a chat page. So I started a chat. That was as useless as all the other options available to get assistance. There were 2 chat sessions. You can see the chats:

here
and
here

In the first chat session, the guy was nice, but couldn't release my funds, so he just nicely blew me off. I decided to wait a few more days. 3 or 4 days later, I checked my Paypal account and saw that there was still an Ebay hold on my funds. So, I went back to the chat window. This time however, I ended up being transferred to a supervisor. This guy was such a blowhard, Douche Bag. He kept insisting that Ebay has not been working with Paypal for over 6 years and that they did not put a hold on my funds. Read his chat transcript. You will see what a Dick he was. I don't care what he says, my Paypal page clearly showed an Ebay Hold on my funds. There was even a notation on the page, advising me to contact Ebay to get the hold removed.

Here are emails that went back & forth with this conniving POS buyer:
email 1
and
email 2

So, in the second chat I told that BOZO, that I would contact Paypal the next day. I did; Thank God, my money had been released. I was able to have Paypal send me a check as I no longer have a bank account with them, and I'm about to close that account as well. So at the end of the day, after a long journey of back & forth arguments to get paid on this $35.00 sale, which Paypal took $1.81 in processing fee and Feebay took $3.57 in commission, I ended up with $29.62 and a shitload of unnecessary aggravation & anxiety for a $50.00 breaker that netted me only $29. Needless to say, ShitBay is on my ShitList for EVER. I don't recommend that stupid site for anyone selling or buying. To me it's just a glorified Craigslist with exaggerated fees.
