My friend & I went to Upper Deck, Sports bar in Halladale, just east of US1, ?her recommendation? to have dinner. We had went to Flannigan's for ribs but the line was sooooooo long that we passed on the wait. So, we ended up here as it was pretty close by and they do serve ribs.

It was a simple order: a slab of ribs, French fries, and a beer. Unlike Flannigan's, Upper Deck only offers 1 side with the rib dinner, whereas Flannigan's offer 2 sides and garlic bread. I must say however, that the ribs came out pretty fast and the service was relatively good.

But, ?there's always a "But"? the ribs were not as tasty as Flannigan's and they were very dry, (like old, re-heated ribs) and the French fries were so crispy, and dried out, probably from sitting under the heat lamp for too long. Needless to say, for the price ?way over-priced, I would say? I was not impressed at all, with the food.

And, to top it off, they included 18% gratuity on the check, which really Pissed Me Off. It really burns my ass that restaurants are now making gratuity a part of the service. What's next? They'll charge admission?

A tip is a token of appreciation for great service and it is up to me whether I want to give a tip or not, and how much of a tip I care to give.

So, at the end of the day, looking at the check, we paid $29.00 for a slab of old, dried out, tasteless ribs, $8.00 for a side of Extra Crispy, greasy, old French Fries, $6.00 for a glass of draft beer, and $8.81 that was extorted from us, for the waiter to serve a slab of ribs, a side of fries & 2 glasses of beer. After tax it cost $61.17 for a shitty meal.

What's even worse it that my friend told me that a 3 in the morning she had the worst case of the Hersheys from that crappy dinner. In fact she had to go twice, to get that crap out of her system. Bummer!
