Rakutenshoping - the FAKE online dropship store

This is an interesting story. One that you really need to be aware of, as I could have lost a lot of money, had I fallen for this scam. My curiosity for cute Asian woman got me into this venture. It was just a friend suggestion that I was checking out. In her feed were several pictures of a cute girl, but in all of them, she was hiding behing her cell phone. I was wondering what she might look like, based on these cute legs pictured above, and her slim body. So, I send a friends request. Not long afterwards, I got a message from her "Hello!" From there we started chatting and I asked her for more pics to see her face.

See her Facebook Page Here

She posted more pictures on the messenger chat, but they were not the girl that belonged to those legs. In fact she's not even Asian. She's the girl pictured above. So, I metioned that she was not the girl on the FB page, but told her that she was beautiful. She brushed it off and wanted to know how old I was. "Older than God" I told her. I showed her an old pic about 6 months old, and she guessed 50. Sure! I'll take that. She sent a few me pics and we continued chatting. Her name was Alyssa. Althoug not the cute Asian girl I was expecting, she was not bad looking. Loved her big blue eyes. However, she didn't smile in any of her photos.

She mentioned that she had a beauty salon in San francisco. And, that she had an online dropshipping store on the side that made her a lot of money. She suggested that I set up my own store and get rich as well. I was wondering what her angle was. Women, don't generally solicit guys just to help them make money. She showed me her online store as well as a screenshot of her profits. I knew a little about dropshipping as I was looking into it a long time ago. But always thought that the price of the merchandise was so high that there would be no real profit for me. She convinced me to try. She said she would help me.

I must have a guardian angel
So, the way this store works, you list products in your store. You can only list 10 products. to start. You can list more but you have to pay for that. When a product sells, you have to pay your Buy Price. Then when it is delivered in 3 to 5 days, the buy price and your profit (mine was set at 25%) comes back to your store wallet on the site. Of course, if you list expensive products, your profit margin will be higher, but your buy price will also be higher. So, you need a lot of working capital in your wallet to fulfill orders, as they come in frequently. If you don't fulfill orders, then they freeze your store, and whatever money you have invested in your wallet is basically frozen.

Being the entrepreneur that I am, I decided to try this. I set up a store, and listed 10 products, mostly in the $200 range, and a few in the $700 to $1100. range. The next step was to get funds I my store wallet. Fortunately for me, I was not able to fund my wallet at the time, as funds in my new bank account were still on hold. So, to rectify the problem she decided to lend me capital. She transferred $5000. into my wallet. Cool, I thought. I can work the store, make some profit with no risk on my part.

Small orders were coming in, they were processed, delivered and cash was flowing in & out. My wallet was starting to build up, when all of a sudden some customer (supposedly) wanted to buy 100 pairs of glasses. I discounted the price and they placed the order. Holy Shit! My buy price for that order was some $14,700 which I did not have. I told Alyssa that since she was doing so well, that she could fund the order and take the profits. However, she didn't want to do that. My guess is: she wanted me to fund it, where she and the store would hit me for some $15,000 to $20,000 that she wanted me to transfer into the store wallet. Ha! There is no way in Hell, I was transferring some $20K in that store. So, I backed away. I didn't do anything. Instead I Googled the shit out of that store to see what it was. Of course Alyssa & I got into a huge argument over this, but I didn't care. And my store was frozen. I couldn't even log-in.

What I found from Google searches was that Rakuten was a huge Japanese discount platform, where people buy products from major retailers at a discount. But, I did not find any dropshipping division associated with Rakuten.com. I was a bit confused until I looked closer at the URL of the store which was rakutenshoping.com. I started Googling that URL, and found nothing. I looked in Whois.com and found that this Rakuten mall was registered with Godaddy.com. Crap! Why would such a huge corporation as Rakuten, register their domain in the US with Godaddy? And it was only about 6 months old. Definitely, I was not investing anything in that store.

About a week later, she contacted me about working some kind of deal to continue working the store. Curious, I tried to login the store and found that it was now accessible. And, that the $14,000 order had vanished. All my orders had been delivered and I had some $8,000 in my store wallet. That made me even more skeptical. Ultimately, we worked a deal where she would lend me more money, and I would give her 25% of all my sales. Over the following week, she transferred another $4000 into my store wallet. I kept going a while longer. Orders were coming in, but deliveries were taking longer... More of my capital was being frozen as I processed orders.

Nevertheless, I continued working it. At some point, we discussed a 50/50 partnership in the store, but she wanted us to increase our working capital to $30,000 where I would of had to put in some $8,000 of my own money. But, again, I was not putting anyting into a store registered with Godaddy. Needless to say, that deal didn't fly! As I continued struggling to manage on the capital that I had, a big order came in. This was for some 20 laptop with a $17,000 by price and 21,000+ sell price. Sorry, I just didn't buy it. I didn't believe that someone woud buy some 20+ laptops at full price, out of the blue. I just knew that it was a fake order, again to get me to fund some $20K that sure as shit would have been frozen. I would have been FUCKED! Royally Fucked!

Again, I offered Alyssa to fund that order and take the $4,000+ profits from it... She didn,t want to do that. She wanted me to fund it, but that was NOT happening! Again, we got into a big fight, I walked away, told her to take the store and do whatever she wants with. I WAS NOT letting that bitch screw me out of some $20,000. NOT HAPPENING!

At the end of the day, I transferred $100 from the store to my crypto wallet, to see if I could, and that worked. A few days later, I tried to tranfer some $950 balance that was available in my wallet, but that didn't get processed. I wrote to customer service and they replied that I could not transfer funds out of my wallet because I had outstanding orders... I walked away.

The lesson here, is that pretty much all digital investments are a trap to screw you out of your money. You really have no control over your digital wallet, and I'm sure that many wallets are fake wallets, like the fake store wallet, within the fake store. Her gig was to help me make some profits in the store (they were fake profits as I never withdrew from the wallet. I needed the capital to process orders which were fake orders) And the big orders were just a way to get me to deposit a large amount of money into the wallet, thinking that I would make a really good profit, that I would never realize as the funds in the wallet would have disappeared, and the bitch would have been long gone....

My advice: DON'T TRUST ANYONE IN DIGITAL INVESTMENTS, YOU WILL MOST LIKELY LOSE YOUR ASS!

I hope you enjoyed the story and learn a very important lesson, in the world of Digital Currencies and the scammers that profit by ripping you off. Please share the story, you may prevent someone from being scammed.
